Sociology Masterclass

Are you an A-Level student considering studying Sociology at degree level? We are running an exciting Masterclass to give you a flavour of life at Cambridge!

We understand that choosing the correct degree is can often be a tough decision, but here at Cambridge we want to support you to make the correct choice.

On the 7th April 2017, the Sociology department, in conjunction with Social Anthropology, will be running a Masterclass for students considering studying Sociology at degree level. Primarily aimed at Year 12 students, our Masterclass will offer you an excellent insight into life as a Sociology student at Cambridge.

The Masterclass will include taster lectures from:

  • Dr Mónica Moreno Figueroa, Lecturer in Sociology and recipient of one of this year’s Pilkington Teaching Prizes for Excellence in Teaching.
  • Dr Mwenza Blell, Lecturer in the Sociology of Reproduction.

Alongside this, there will be opportunities to:

  • Discuss and ask Questions
  • Hear more about life as a Cambridge student from current undergraduates
  • Find out more about the Cambridge admissions process

The Masterclass is open to students from any school or college and will run from 10:30am until 3:30pm. The cost of the day will be £20 and funded places are available.
