Undergraduate Study

The Sociology course at Cambridge gives you the opportunity to study the ways that our world is changing.

Sociology at Cambridge is taught within the interdisciplinary Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) Tripos. This undergraduate degree programme is only offered at the University of Cambridge, and offers students the opportunity to approach global challenges from a range of subjects including Politics, Sociology and Social Anthropology.

The HSPS course provides excellent training in analytical and critical skills, intellectual versatility and multicultural sensitivity, as well as fostering an international outlook that equips students for work or further study in a rapidly changing world.

As well as developing a deep understanding of modern societies and sociological thinking, students also develop transferable skills such as writing about complex issues and analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
