Dr Nitzan Peri-Rotem is awarded the post of Lecturer at the University of Exeter!

copy nperirotemCongratulations to Dr Nitzan Peri-Rotem for being awarded the position of Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Philosophy and Anthropology at the University of Exeter.

Dr Peri-Rotem is currently a Philomathia Research Associate at the Department of Sociology and a member of ReproSoc. Her research interests lie in the field of social demography with a focus on social and cultural determinants of fertility patterns in post-industrialized countries.

Before joining the department in 2014, she completed a DPhil in Sociology at the University of Oxford on the role of religion in shaping women's family and employment patterns in Western Europe. In Cambridge, she collaborates with Professor Jacqueline Scott and Professor Sarah Franklin on various projects, including the effects of partners' relative resources on fertility and union stability, the changing role of education as a determinant of reproductive behaviour and demographic implications of assisted reproductive technologies.
