"The department consists of highly engaging, motivated scholars, who encourage you to advance your own critiques and arguments around social thinkers from the outset."

Studying Sociology was the best decision I made at Cambridge. It has developed my critical thinking, my political awareness, and sense of justice more than I ever expected. The department consists of highly engaging, motivated scholars, who encourage you to advance your own critiques and arguments around social thinkers from the outset. Thanks to the Sociology department here, I have developed my own ideas on the topics I am really passionate about, and feel prepared and excited to pursue them in postgraduate study.
