About

Tiger Chan is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). Tiger holds an MPhil in Sociology of Marginality and Exclusion and a BA in Sociology from the University of Cambridge.

Their research looks at the production and management of ‘clutter’ from British Malaya to the present in Singapore. Utilising archival materials, cultural production and ethnography Tiger is interested in exploring ways that space is contested.
