Biography

Josephine is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. She previously obtained her BA and MRes from Sciences Po. Through her doctoral research, she aims to understand the barriers holding back middle-class factions of the British population from partaking in environmental action using a combination of interviews and computational text analysis. More broadly, Josephine works across environmental, cultural, and computational social science. Outside academia, Josephine has held positions in civil society organizations and at the local government level.
