About
Caleb is a PhD student at the Department of Sociology, University of Cambridge. He holds an MSc in Science, Technology and Society at Universidad Alberto Hurtado and BA in Sociocultural Anthropology at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
His research examines environmental serious board games through the analytical lenses of Science and Technology Studies (STS) and Game Studies, with a particular focus on their capacities as world-making practices. His doctoral project combines the analysis of environmental serious board games with ethnographic fieldwork in Chile, where he collaborates with scientists and communities to co-design a game grounded in a specific socio-environmental issue, exploring how these processes can function as sites of encounter and negotiation between different worlds.
